Patagonia Down Sweater Hoody - Short Review
This is the Patagonia down sweater hoody. It has a hood which is really comfortable and has a single drawstring to adjust it. I usually like two drawstrings around the waist, but this one has one for adjustment and it gets the job done fine. Elastic wrist cuffs for extra comfort and three standard pockets. The chest pocket on the inside has a double zipper and is designed for the whole coat to stuffing puffy into to stuffy puffy. It has windproof fabric and even though that fabric came from the ocean, it's definitely not waterproof. But there's a water resistant coating from the factory, so if you're caught out in a little drizzle, it's not going to be that big of a deal. As far as sizing goes, I'm 6'2 and 190 pounds. This jacket is a size medium because when I tried on the size large, it just felt big. Maybe I'm in between. It seems like the shoulders are a bit narrow, the chest is a bit tight, and I wish there was a little bit more room down by the waist. But I think the medium looks awesome whenever I see myself in a mirror or in this video. On the surface, it's pretty much the same thing as any other puffer coat, but the outer fabric is made from recycled fishing line. The 800 Fill Power down has a responsible sourcing certification, which is supposed to treat animals better. And Patagonia in general tries to give more of a about the environment than other outdoor manufacturers. At least that's what they say. So, as a consumer, you get to sleep a little bit better at night knowing that it's "better on the environment." If you like this video, check out my channel. And if you want to come along, subscribe. But either way, stoked you're here. and I'll see you next time.
