The worst Merrell’s I’ve owned.

These are the worst Merrell's I've ever owned. And it's really weird because I liked this version of the Moab Speed 2 a lot. And if you think about it, there's not a whole lot different between this one and these. "Jelly" stands for clear plastic stitched on all over the place. And instead of normal fabric, you get the same stuff that my sister's sandals were made out of back in 2002. I know, maybe I should have caught it when I was looking to buy these online, but whenever I open the box, it just looked a lot cheaper than I expected. I like wearing no-show socks because I think it looks cool and it also literally keeps my feet cool. So, when it's warm out and I'm wearing hiking shoes, that's the way I like to wear them. It's usually not a problem with properly constructed hiking shoes. But with these, it took more than 50 miles and more than a few band-aids for my little feeties to adjust. Not a huge deal, but whenever I could pay the exact same amount of money and get something that caused no pain, it makes these a bit of a bummer. Also, the insoles the Speed 2 comes with in general are garbage. But my good insoles squeak and move around like crazy in these, even though in the mid - height ones, they never did. It bums me out because I'm a big fan of Merrell. It's actually kind of getting annoying how much I've been talking about the Moab 3 and lately the Moab Speed 2. I didn't even plan on reviewing these shoes whenever I got them. I got them as a solid warm weather fallback while I review other brands. And the ironic thing is I've been wearing some super hot boots in favor of these because they're just a lot more comfortable. So, if you have a warm weather shoe that isn't made by Merrell and you really like it, let me know because it turns out I'm looking for some. And if you like this video, there's a good chance you'll like my channel. So, check it out and I'll see you next time.
