This fleece failed in 4 months.
(Please note the below text is a transcript of the video)
Filson is one of the OG outdoor brands, which is why it's so surprising that this jacket ripped out after just 4 months of light use. I have feelings about that that I'm going to share. First, I'm going to talk about the good things about the Filson Sherpa Fleece jacket. My favorite thing about this jacket is the zipper. It's big and oversized, kind of like the collar. Nice and cozy for your neck on cold days. And overall, the fleece itself is thick, but it still does a good job at fitting underneath a size large Patagonia Torrentshell, even though the jacket itself is an XL. I'm 6'2 and 190 lb. And to me, it really delivers on that oversized fit that I was expecting. And it's got these manly man elbow patches that feel like if I rubbed them together, I could start a campfire out in the woods or something. I don't know. Okay, I promised I'd tell you how I feel about the rip in the jacket. So, here goes. It is kind of a letdown when you spend good money on something and it rips out after 4 months. I'm sure Filson would fix it if I let them know or send it back, but it's the principle, right? It may not be the biggest deal, and I sure hope it's just a one off. But for a brand like Filson, it's kind of surprising. And if you spend $195 on this jacket only to have it rip out, you'd feel like you got fleeced. Anyway, if you made it this far in the video, check out my channel, 'cause you might like what's over there. And if you want to come along, subscribe. But either way, I'm stoked you're here and I'll see you next time.
